Introduction to Bingo Calls and Bingo Sayings

Bingo calls are nicknames or slang terms assigned to a specific number 1-90. Eventually bingo calls became a form of entertainment in themselves, for example, some calls elicit a response from the audience, the bingo caller will say 22 – two little ducks and the audience responds “quack – quack”.
However the real reason for bingo calls is essentially to allow the audience to have a second or two gap in order to mark the numbers on their cards. The rhyme also helps players to remember what the last number called was. Online bingo has done away with this need because of auto-bingo dauber. However some players, even online, still enjoy listening to the bingo caller and dabbing their own numbers, so bingo calls are here to stay, and funnily enough, most players prefer the old fashioned bingo calls to any attempt at modernizing them.
